Sno Seal your boots to ensure years
of use.....
 |
Sno Seal is a bees wax compound that protects
boots by creating a barrier that keeps water from soaking in. I usually
apply one to two coats per year to ensure that my boots remain in top
shape. I have used many other chemicals to protect my boots but Sno Seal
is the best thing I have found. All you need for this task is a pair of
boots, Sno Seal, a tooth brush and a blow dryer. The tooth brush will be
used to apply the Sno Seal and the blow dryer is used to heat the inside
of the boots. For the few minutes this takes, it will add years to your
boots life expectancy. |
| To apply Sno Seal ensure that the boots are
dry and clean. Place the blow dryer inside the boot and turn on low to
medium heat and allow the boot to become warm to touch. Remove the blow
dryer and apply Sno Seal with the tooth brush. Cover the entire boot with
Sno Seal, ensuring that all seams and crevices have an adequate amount of
Sno Seal on them. Once complete let the boot dry and cool down, then wipe
off any excess Sno Seal. The heat
from the dryer pulls the Sno Seal deep into the boot leather and provides
a deeper layer of protection. Sno Seal will darken the color of the boots,
notice the photo on the right shows an unprotected boot (on left) and a Sno Seal
treated boot (on the right) there is a noticeable difference in
color. |
