Bass fishing has long since been a passion for me. My bait selection has evolved into a methodical science that is driven by the basics: bass will eat anything at sometime but they will eat certain things at all times. The Black Widow Eel is one of these things. There is nothing more life like than pork rind and when fish bite it they really hold on. The eel is a naturally occurring creature in almost every body of water and bass love them. Moreover, if the body of water does not have eels it has snakes. With this in mind it is easy to see the value in using a Black Widow Eel. I have used this bait from Virginia to Florida and it catches fish. The profile is perfect and it almost swims by itself. The weight allows this to be thrown on baitcasting tackle and heavy line. I use this behind people fishing floating worms and I catch the fish that they miss. With all this success you would think I have nothing else to say but wait until you see it in saltwater! The redfish cannot resist this succulent eel and I have heard that tarpon will take them to. With this wide range of uses and potential locations, you gotta have some in your tackle box. Uncle Josh is the pork rind people therefore they are my only choice for pork baits. Give them a cast or two and hold on. The results will be very evident very fast!
