Finally a lanyard that
your friends won't take.....
I cannot count the times I have cursed because I did not have
the tool I wanted handy. When
you got clients you learn fast that if you can do things quick and efficient
they don't complain (well, not as much at least). Over the years I have tossed
the idea of a fishing lanyard back and forth. Lanyards have their good and bad
points but for wading I think they are a must. My latest incarnation of the
lanyard seems to work better than others I have tried. Usually I get a lot of
jokes about my lanyard but it is functional. For me fashion follows function. As
you can see it is colorful (to say the least) which means if I drop it or lay it
down I can find it. There are large craft beads that center the lanyard on my
neck and also keep it from cutting into my neck. The smaller beads form a
complete circle which covers all fabric and adds a smooth surface that hooks
cannot attach to. There are swivels between the beads that the tools are
attached to. The tools are connected to the swivels with snap lock connecters so
I can change tools as needed. The center of the lanyard has a zinger that allows
me to use the Dr. Slick forceps/cutter (shameless
product plug) at arms length and not worry if I drop them. There are also
Tie Fast cutters and Knot Tyers (shameless product
plug) on the lanyard. With the Hook holder the lanyard is complete. The
main cord is 550 parachute cord and all the beads are plastic making the lanyard
waterproof and very durable.
Hey, I don't care if you laugh, it works for me!!!!!!
